Man were we wrong about day 7 being boring! We left Beaufort around 8:45am with Isle of Palms in mind. It was high tide and EVERYTHING looked different. The water was 6ft deeper in high tide than low tide the day before. There was a lot more boat traffic this early in the morning but also deeper waters to maneuver in.
I’ve failed to mention all the Dolphins we have seen. Everyday we see at least a handful jumping in the waves. They are so playful around boats.
We arrived at Isle of Palms Marina around 1pm after one of our best (fastest) days on the water so far. We took a short 15 minute walk to the beach and then had dinner at Morgan Creek Grill which had amazing views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Tomorrow we have our longest day, we plan to go 125 miles to Ocean Isle Beach, NC and stay with friends for 2 days!
